先日、通りかかった時に見つけた、クラーケンウェルにあるExmouth Market（エクスマス・マーケット）の北東側入口付近の空き店舗を覆っているアート。私の好きなアーティスト、Michael Craig-Martinの作風に似ていて、気に入って撮っておいた。空きスペースも、ずっと閉まってる愛想のないグレーのシャッターより、こうやってアートで飾られている方が、断然楽しい。ネットで作者や情報を調べてみたけれど、何も手がかりを得られなかった。何か知ってる方がいたら、是非教えてください！
ちなみにエクスマス・マーケットには、Exmouth Marketをもじった、こんなのも。クリエイターの街・クラーケンウェルらしい。
I found “Flying Chairs (don’t know the real title and I just call it like this) “, covering empty shop space near the north-east entrance of Exmouth Market in Clerkenwell. I liked its simple style is similar to one of my favorite artist, Michael Craig-Martin, and took a photo when I passed by. It is more fun and cheerful to put up art or painting over empty shops, rather than just bare gray closed shutters. I tried to find info about the work but no avail. Please tell me if anyone know something about it!
There is another funny sign/painting, punning “Exmouth Market” on the same street just few steps away – it’s cute! Perfect for creative Clerkenwell.
エクスマス・マーケットじゃないけれど、Theobald’s Roadの工事現場を覆う木の壁。メープルの葉のデザインが、違った色調のグリーンでまとめられていて、何だか落ち着く。
It’s not on Exmouth Market, but the construction site on Theobald’s Road. I like the design of relaxing maple leaves in different shades of green.
