Tapped & Packed Café No.114 @ Tottenham Court Road

周りは、UCLH(ユニヴァーシティ・カレッジ・ロンドン付属病院)以外、これといって何もないので、残念ながら来る機会はあまりないかも。

Tapped & Packed, a café I wrote last year on my blog near Tottenham Court Road station, opened the second branch near Warren Street station. In compare to the first one which is a bit dark inside, this venue has large windows on two sides and has plenty of day light (though it is a bit too hot when sunny, with no air conditioner). The ceiling is high and this makes this small place feel bigger and more spacious. I really love its sophisticated classic-modern décor.

Very nice & cozy, but the coffee, that they are supposed to be passionate about, was a disappointment. I am not sure if this is a fault of a barrista on duty, but my good looking Flat White (photo below) was watery and lacked creaminess. Chicken sandwich and chocolate cake that we ordered were OK, but didn’t have a ‘punch’ that made me want to eat it every day. There is nothing around except UCLH, and probably I won’t have many chances to come here.

It may sound arrogant to say, but I believe that ciabatta bread tastes better when toasted
