12月3日にショーディッチにオープンしたBOXPARKの2階にある、ソーホーの人気カフェ・Foxcroft & Ginger（フォックスクロフト＆ジンジャー）の2号店（1号店についてのエントリー）。セカンドハンド？のテーブルや椅子、ワックスの施されていないむき出しの床など、木を基調にしたラフな雰囲気はそのまま。一回り小さなカウンターには、手作りのサンドイッチやスウィーツが並ぶ。その味も新鮮さも一号店と同じ、そして定評のあるそのコーヒーとフレンドリーなサービスも。
We tried new Foxcroft & Ginger, a second branch of SOHO’s popular café (see my old entry). Its rusty & woody atmosphere with secondhand (?) tables & chairs as well as un-waxed floors, resembles with its sister. Hand-made sandwiches and sweets on the smaller counter also maintain the same quality and freshness. And of course, its reputed coffee and the friendly service as well.
ハムとチーズを挟んだフレンチトースト（手前）。ハムやチーズの塩辛さと、控えめのメープルシロップの甘さが意外と合う。
French toast with ham and cheese. Surprisingly savory ham and cheese get along well with modestly sweet maple syrup.
