Mr & Mrs Smith – Boutique & Luxury Hotel Specialists

The Telegraph（テレグラフ）紙とMr & Mrs Smithとの共同で、７０以上のイギリス・ヨーロッパ・中東のデザインホテルに、１泊分の値段で２泊できるというプロモーションをやっている。イギリスも少しずつ日も長くなり春めいてきたので、このプロモを使って、ロンドンの北西のCotswolds（コッツウォルズ）を旅行する計画を立て、無事お目当てのホテルの予約が取れた。この旅行については、旅行の後にご報告します。

創業2003年、ロンドンをベースにするMr & Mrs Smithは、チェーンではない小規模な、ラグジュアリー＆ブティック（「boutique」、欧米では洗練された、いわゆる「デザインホテル／デザイナーズホテル」を指す。日本のラブホテルを想像しないように！）ホテルを専門とする、旅行関連の出版とホテル予約サービスを手がける。Mr & Mrs Smithは、匿名で宿泊し、独自にホテルを調査・評価し、お眼鏡にかなったホテルをリストに載せており、その数はイギリス・ヨーロッパを中心に世界中で５００を超える。リストには、スパ、プチホテル、コテージ、別荘レンタル等、お手頃価格から高級ホテルリゾートまで幅広い。ホテル予約は、メンバーにならなくてもできるが、メンバーになると（年間£15/ £99/ £299の３段階ある)、いろいろな特典やサービスが受けられる。また、ホテルガイド（写真下）も出版している。

The Telegraph has a promotional offer for ‘2 for 1 nights’ at more than 70 stylish boutique hotels in the UK, Europe and the Middle East, teaming up with Mr & Mrs Smith. It is getting warmer in UK and the daytime is becoming longer, therefore we planned a trip in Cotswolds and got a reservation of the hotel on the top of our list.
