リバプールストリート駅近くのDevonshire SQに最近できたPlanet Organicに行く途中のNew Street 21番地で、この白い羊の像を戴いた門を発見した。どうして羊なのか、インターネットで調べてみても手がかりなし。収穫は1963年当時の門を撮影した古い写真1枚のみ。いつかわからないが、後年お化粧直しが施されたようだ。現在、この番地にある建物には、City of London Police（ロンドン市警察）や様々な会社のオフィスが入居している。
When I was going to the new Planet Organic in Devonshire SQ near Liverpool Street station, I happened to find this statue of white sheep on the top of the gate on 21 New Street. I looked up online for an episode of the sheep, but couldn’t find any, except one old photo of the gate back in 1963. The gate has had a makeover, and now the City of London Police and some business firms are the tenants of the property behind the gate.
